The New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD) presents Performance Season 2026, running from 18-28 November at Te Whaea: National Dance & Drama Centre in Wellington.
Across 10 performances, NZSD's emerging dancers will bring two seperate programmes to life (one in Classical Ballet and one in Contemporary Dance) showcasing their talent in a series of performances allowing audiences of friends and whānau, supporters and dance enthusiasts the opportunity to see the rising talent of the future.
Since the School was founded almost 60 years ago, end-of-year performances by its students have been a treasured tradition, offering a glimpse into the extraordinary talent of the School's full-time programme. As the official school of the Royal New Zealand Ballet and The New Zealand Dance Company, NZSD has shaped generations of dancers now performing on stages across Aotearoa and around the world.
This annual celebration brings dance's rich legacy to life, blending classical gems with bold contemporary works, all performed by the next generation of dance artists.
