The New Zealand School of Dance shares a unique artistic relationship with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, with currently a third of the company having trained at the School.

NZSD teaching staff offer career guidance to students on an individual basis. In addition, the school maintains ongoing relationships with the leaders of national and international companies, providing information about auditions and secondments which can lead to professional employment.
